At Primal Care Wellness, our philosophy centers on care grounded in connection, time, and intention. We believe better health begins with a more meaningful relationship between patient and provider. By working together in a direct partnership, we move beyond symptom-based treatment to understand the body as an interconnected system—identifying root causes and creating targeted, lasting solutions. This model allows care to be thoughtful, consistent, and truly centered on the individual. The result is better outcomes, a deeper sense of ownership over your health, and a stronger, healthier community.

I am a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has lived in the PNW for the past 18 years and I am proud to call this place my home. I am rooted to this special community and I feel fortunate to build a life and a practice here. My healthcare journey began in 2001 as a nursing assistant, where I quickly found a passion for caring for others. I went on to earn my RN degree from Humboldt State University, known for its holistic, whole-person approach. With 13 years of bedside experience, I built a strong clinical foundation across diverse settings and gained a deep understanding of patients and their needs.
Driven by a desire to make a greater impact, I returned to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. My graduate training at United States University was grounded in Jean Watson’s Theory of Human Caring, which emphasizes compassion, the importance of the provider–patient relationship, and caring for the whole person ~ mind, body, and spirit, all within a healing environment.
Through years of experience in the conventional healthcare system, I experienced firsthand its limitations and the toll it takes on both patients and providers—reinforcing the need for a more thoughtful, sustainable approach to care. I am so excited to launch this direct primary care practice and build meaningful relationships with my clients.

Direct Primary Care is a membership-based model of primary care that removes the barriers created by insurance and returns the focus to what matters most—you.
Primary care is the foundation of your health—supporting prevention, addressing both acute and ongoing concerns, and guiding your long-term well-being. In this model, we’re able to spend more time, build meaningful relationships, and provide care that is both accessible and truly centered on your individual needs.

Functional medicine is an approach to care that looks beyond symptoms to understand why they are happening. Through a detailed evaluation of lifestyle, physiology, and advanced lab data, we assess how key systems—metabolic, hormonal, immune, and gastrointestinal—are functioning. By understanding how your body’s systems interact, we identify what’s out of balance and develop a plan to restore function, improve energy, and support long-term health.

If membership isn’t the right fit, we also offer functional medicine consultations with a comprehensive, integrative approach. Based on your individual needs, personalized programs may be recommended, including focus on:

Primal Care Wellness provides comprehensive primary care with a functional medicine approach, focused on identifying root causes and supporting long-term health. Care is personalized and designed to address the full picture of your health.
Services include:
Primal Care Wellness operates on a Direct Primary Care (DPC) model and does not bill or accept insurance. Instead, care is provided through a simple monthly membership, allowing us to focus entirely on you.
By removing insurance from the equation, we’re able to offer longer visits, more direct access, and a more personalized approach to your health; you receive consistent, relationship-based care designed to support real progress and long-term results.
For many patients, this model not only improves their experience—it often reduces unnecessary testing, referrals, and medications, creating a more efficient and intentional approach to healthcare.
Getting started is simple and designed to ensure we’re the right fit for your care.
We begin with a complimentary 10-minute consultation to answer questions and determine if our approach aligns with your goals.
You’ll then complete an intake form and schedule an initial comprehensive visit ($250), where we take a thorough, whole-person approach to your health.
A follow-up visit is included to review labs, discuss findings, and establish a personalized plan moving forward.
If it’s determined that we’re not the right fit, you will still leave with a comprehensive, head-to-toe assessment and a functional medicine evaluation to guide your next steps.
For those who are ready to move forward, membership provides ongoing, relationship-based care with our practitioner dedicated to helping you achieve optimal health.
Membership is billed monthly and may be canceled at any time.
Many of our patients have insurance—and still choose Direct Primary Care for a better experience. Insurance is designed to cover unpredictable, high-cost events such as hospitalizations, specialist care, and emergencies. However, it often limits the time, access, and personalization available in day-to-day healthcare.
Direct Primary Care works alongside your insurance, not against it. Your membership covers the care you use most—office visits scheduled and acute visits, ongoing support, and personalized management. Without the constraints of billing requirements we are able to offer our patients longer visits, direct access to your provider and a deeper, more thoughtful approach to your health.
